argh for upcoming exams…even though i only have one, i still have to study my arse off…i guess it doesn’t help that I’m writing this while i supposed to be studying but hey at least I’m giving myself a break from the last three days where I’ve done nothing but clean up after ‘little messages’ my new puppy has left me, sleep in the lounge room on the couch to make sure he doesn’t leave any more, and make sure mum gets some sleep while she’s come down with my cold. [oops]. but that wasn’t my fault! she drank out of my sprite bottle while we were waiting for my appointment at box hill.

I’ve just spent the last maybe hour or so listening to coldplay’s new album on their myspace, because they’ve put it up in their song list before the album is officially released, well before it’s released in Australia. anyway, I’m positive it’s not out yet, but equally as positive that I’m going to buy the first chance i get [which is probably Thursday]. it is quite a good album., i think it’s better than their last, X & Y, but only because their sound has evolved far beyond what i heard in ‘Speed of Sound’. now before i get into my own little review of their new album, let me just say that i am in no way a music expert, i am just saying what i think of their new stuff, and this is entirely my own opinion and if you disagree, then that’s okay. but back to what i was saying, i love the title track ‘Viva La Vida’ just because it just sounds really awesome. i am listening to it as i am writing this.

got back from my class in the city about two hours ago. ate some fish and chips. downloaded last.fm again, and decided to start listening to a band called ‘Elbow’ check ‘em out. they are ultra british. ULTRA

i have started sending ‘quotes of the day’ to one of my mates via sms/mms depending on what i find. it’s quite fun actually. todays was – “He was the lion in the Bishop of Oxford’s story – always liable to rush out from behind some bush and devour someone when he was least expected” page 129, The Way Of All Flesh by Samuel Butler. i just picked up a random book from the city library that i thought looked interesting, opened it up to the middle and picked the first awesome sentence i could.

i manage to find awesome pictures via a site called FFFFOUND.com it is quite fun to trawl throughout the random pictures, pity there isn’t a search function as far as i know, but it’s still good to waste a few hours on every now and then. it’s mostly examples taken [well...found] from other sites, of good design, good photos and just general illustrations and such. par example:

how good would it be to have some of this? i wish they sold it in australia ;

any who, onto other things. this week I’m off to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival to see Frank Woodley’s solo show, ‘Possessed’ which has been hailed by critics as pretty darn good. I honestly can’t wait for it. there is also a chance i may be seeing Stephen K Amos aswell, he is a comic genius, British, but a comic genius none-the-less. I’ll let you know how it goes.

time for some more news though. It’s now been two months since me and my boyfriend started dating. we see each other about 4/5 times a week depending on work and school. it’s actually quite fantastic to know that if i have a problem, i can go and talk to him, and that both him and i know that if we get shitty with each other, we can just walk off, do something else, come back to each other after a while and it’ll be all good in the land of retarded dogs [seriously my dog is a freak. it a cross between a kelpie and a chihuahua.] But i couldn’t ask for more. for once, i am happy at school. i am happy at home. i am generally happy elsewhere unless it’s that time of the month.

ARGH. time to be gross? yes. i had a blood test the other week, to test for allergens and things of that nature, and apparently my allergen reactions stats are the highest my doctor has ever seen in his 30 odd years of practicing medicine. do you know what this means? it means possible weekly injections to keep reactions down, and to stop my skin inflammation and breathing problems. now, in the long run, that’s fantastic for my health, but right now, i hate needle.s the possibility that i have to give them to myself once a week? SCARY.

apart from that, everything is fine and dandy, quite like sour candy. though apparently this kid doesn’t like the stuff;
